Cara Jitu Menaikkan Alexa Rank

Awalnya aku ngga begitu ngeh tentang Alexa sampai ketika seorang teman menanyaiku tentang ranking Alexa. 
Lalu mulailah aku mencari tau tentang Alexa. Memang… Alexa Traffic Rank tidak sepopuler punyanya Google. Namun ternyata Alexa Rank cukup penting bagi para Blogger yang ingin menjadikan blog-nya sebagai monetize blog karena kebanyakan menggunakan rank Alexa sebagai syarat atau patokan dalam menentukan “harga” sebuah website. 

Alexa Traffic Rank:
The traffic rank is based on three months of aggregated historical traffic data from millions of Alexa Toolbar users and is a combined measure of page views and users (reach). As a first step, Alexa computes the reach and number of page views for all sites on the Web on a daily basis. 
The main Alexa traffic rank is based on the geometric mean of these two quantities averaged over time (so that the rank of a site reflects both the number of users who visit that site as well as the number of pages on the site viewed by those users).

Setelah berkeliling sejenak ke website-website yang membahas tentang Alexa, aku jadi pengen mencoba ? 
5 Tips Untuk Meningkatkan Ranking Alexa :
1. Alexa Traffic
Langkah yang paling dasar : Get lot of site traffic! Karena ide awal dari Alexa rank adalah untuk menentukan website mana yang memiliki traffic paling banyak dengan asumsi, banyak traffic = lebih populer. Yep, Alexa pada dasarnya adalah ranking popularistas suatu website. 
2. Alexa Toolbar
Menggunakan browser yang terinstall toolbar Alexa bisa ningkatin ranking website kamu. Sebenarnya bukan hanya websitemu, setiap website yang dikunjungi browser yang terinstall toolbar Alexa juga mendapat “nilai” yang akan diperhitungkan dalam ranking. Lalu, bukankah pengunjung pasti dari websitemu adalah dirimu sendiri? So, kalau browsermu sudah terinstall toolbar, maka penambahan point ranking akan terjadi secara otomatis! 3. Alexa Widget
Pasang Alexa site stat widget di websitemu. Alexa site stat ini mengandung javascript yang mengantarkan setiap data pengunjung (ping) ke server Alexa sehingga statistik Alexa menjadi lebih akurat. Scriptnya bisa diambil di sini. Tinggal copy paste. Ga perlu malu pasang Alexa widget yang gede, untuk mencapai hasil yang diinginkan tentunya ada harga yang harus dibayar kan? Siapa sangka dulunya ranking 3 juta-an sekarang ranking 300 ribuan? 
4. Alexa Redirection
Gunakan Alexa redirection setiap berkunjung ke websitemu. Formatnya seperti berikut:

(Ganti www.tyoblogfree.blogspot.com dengan URL websitemu)
Alexa Redirection sudah tidak berfungsi lagi. Setiap loading page dengan link ini akan muncul pesan 404.

5. Alexa Blog/Content
Tulis/blog tentang Alexa di blogmu. Webmaster dan Blogger suka cara-cara untuk meningkatkan ranking Alexa. Ya… mungkin seperti yang dibaca sekarang ini. 
Mengapa Alexa penting ? 
Jawabannya, karena ada beberapa website layanan iklan komersil yang memberikan syarat ranking Alexa dalam batasan tertentu. ReviewMe, Text Link Ads dan Sponsored Reviewsadalah 3 diantaranya dan masih banyak lagi. Jikapun kita tidak berkeinginan menggunakan layanan iklan komersil atau tidak ingin menjadikan blog kita sebagai monetize blog, peningkatan ranking Alexa bisa dipandang sebagai upaya untuk melakukan sedikit optimasi yang bisa bermanfaat bagi kwalitas blog.

Trick and Tips to Upgrade RAM on Laptop

This guide was developed to instruct readers on the proper procedures for installing memory modules into a laptop computer. It includes step-by-step instructions for the physical installation of a memory module into those laptop systems that have an access panel to the memory modules. Not all laptops have this type of access. If yours does not, then it will probably require installation from an authorized technician.

For additional information about installing computer memory into your computer system, it is recommended that you read any user manuals that came with your computer for specific procedures that may be required. For more information for purchasing memory upgrades for a computer, please refer to the Before You Buy Memory upgrades article.

1. Turn off the computer and remove all power cords from the computer system.
2. Locate the panel used for access to the memory modules. This is generally located on the bottom of the laptop computer. Refer to your laptop instruction manuals for locating the panel.
   
3. Remove any screws that the panel in place and place somewhere safe to prevent losing it.
   
4. Remove the panel from the laptop and set aside.
   
5. If replacing or upgrading an existing memory module, remove the memory modules by undoing and module clamps and gently lifting the edge of the module to a 45-degree angle and then pulling the module out of the slot.
   
   
6. Align the notch of the memory module with that of the memory slot and gently insert the module into the slot at a 45-degree angle.
   
7. Once all the pins are in the slot, gently rotate the module down flat until the clamps lock into the module into place.
   
8. Replace the memory access panel onto the laptop computer.
   
9. Replace any screws or fasteners that hold the panel in place.
   
10. Replace the power cord and power up your computer system.

Once the memory has been installed into the computer, the physical process is complete. When the computer is powered back up, it may be necessary to go into the computer BIOS to let the system properly detect the new RAM that has been installed in the computer. Please refer to the user manual for the computer system for any additional information.
